Fujitsu’s Lead LTE Solutions Architect, Dr. Femi Adeyemi, Explores Cloud RAN at 4G World

Fujitsu Network Communications Inc.

Richardson, TX, September 04, 2014

Fujitsu, a leading provider of business, information technology, and communications solutions, today announced that Dr. Femi Adeyemi, lead LTE solutions architect at Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., will be a panel participant at 4G World. Dr. Adeyemi will help lead the discussion entitled, “Moving to Cloud RAN – Hype or Reality?.”

Mobile operators need to reconsider the traditional argument between LTE Overlay Networks versus Multimode base stations to replace their legacy networks in light of recent trends toward SDN and network virtualization. Operators around the world are interested in extending NFV to their radio access network. The potential benefits are enormous but the challenges are equally huge, in particular if the Cloud RAN concept is applied to an operator’s entire network. This session will examine the practicalities, challenges and likely benefits associated with deploying Cloud RAN in the Americas.

The panel will convene at the 4G World Conference on Thursday, September 11 from 2:15 p.m. PDT– 3:00 p.m. PDT, in Palazzo Ballroom N at The Venetian Hotel.

As the lead LTE solutions architect at Fujitsu, Dr. Adeyemi is responsible for engaging wireless operators and partners in the Wireless and Small Cells Ecosystem. He has more than 20 years of experience in the wireless and communications industry. Prior to working with Fujitsu, he led technology and product strategy for LTE and Voice in 3G/4G Macro and Femto product lines at Airvana Inc. Dr. Adeyemi has also held various senior technical and management roles at Motorola, Engim and Elbera (a company he founded). He holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and is a 3GPP expert with design, development and deployment experience.
