Fujitsu Provides Future-Proof Retail Solutions for Flagship Danier Leather Store

Point of Sale Solutions Enable Omni-Channel Sales and Improved Customer Experience

Fujitsu America Inc.

Toronto and Sunnyvale, Calif., December 08, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Fujitsu, a leading information communication technology (ICT) company, today announced the successful implementation of its TeamPoS® 7000 All-In-One (AIO) hardware at Danier Leather's flagship store at the Toronto Eaton Centre, the iconic shopping mall in downtown Toronto. The solution offers faster and sleeker point of sale technology and the capability to integrate with future omni-channel offerings to enhance usability, increase sales capacity and improve the consumer experience.
Danier Leather, Inc. is a premier design house, manufacturer and retailer of leather garments, handbags and accessories with more than 90 stores across Canada. The brand is centered upon a commitment to quality craftsmanship, accessible luxury and uncompromising value. Products are designed with a modern sensibility and timeless aesthetic.
Danier's new flagship store at Eaton Centre offers its core fashion lineup as well as capsule pieces.  A "heritage" corner with vintage photographs is an homage to the brand's history in Canadian fashion and retail. The sleek look and feel of this new and exclusive location includes technology that blends well with the company's fashion-forward direction, almost disappearing into the store's design with metallic counters, sleek displays and accent lighting. Noble materials, such as Carrera marble and rich walnut punctuate the space.
"As a fashion company, store aesthetics are extremely important to our customers, from the fashions we offer, to our retail displays and even our checkout terminals and technology," said Rodney McBrien, CIO at Danier Leather. "We needed a solution provider that understood our customer experience goals as a fashion-conscious business and one that could further enhance our long-term strategy to adopt new technology as our needs evolve. Fujitsu offered the perfect fit with a premier solution that not only met our technology and design requirements today but, as important, positions well us for a successful future."
The TeamPoS 7000 AIO terminal runs the Fujitsu Retail Suite and the upgrade enables faster and smoother point of sale transactions. It offers versatile design and technology features, advanced performance, energy efficiency and reliability, delivering benefits to retailers including the flexibility of a single platform across the store, easily deployable consumer-focused applications, energy efficient features, and expanded employee productivity, training and customer service assistance tools. Consumers benefit significantly from faster and easier point of sale transactions as well as seamless integration of registration, promotion and loyalty programs. The unit's sleek, compact design also is compatible with future enhancements, providing a gateway for integrating new order management, omni-channel and mobile capabilities as business requirements evolve.
"Fujitsu's leadership in retail is a direct result of our laser focus on our customers' customers," said Marc Janssens, executive vice president, Retail and Platform Products, Fujitsu America, Inc. "After many years partnering with Danier, their customers feel like our own, so we are truly excited to deliver this modern, fast and future-proofed solution to further delight their customers. We look forward to working with Danier to enhance the consumer shopping experience and position their business for future growth."
Fujitsu TeamPoS 7000 AIO hardware is in use store-wide at the Danier Leather store at Eaton Centre in Toronto, Canada, and the solution is currently available to all retailers across North America.
