Frost & Sullivan Recognizes iNetSec Smart Finder for Leadership in BYOD Network Security Management in North America

Fujitsu Computer Products of America

Sunnyvale, CA, December 11, 2013

Fujitsu Computer Products of America today announced the receipt of the Frost & Sullivan 2013 North American Price Performance Value Leadership Award for BYOD Security Management. The award was presented to Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. for iNetSec Smart Finder, an internal network security appliance that enables device and application discovery, classification and management. International marketing consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan determined recognition based on analysis of iNetSec Smart Finder’s superior performance, encompassing five criteria: price competitiveness, features, ease of use, service effectiveness and product matched to client needs.

More than 1 billion devices will be shipped to professionals and consumers in 2013, a number Frost & Sullivan predicts will more than triple by 2017. As a consequence of this growth, the number of threats introduced via mobile devices and applications usage is expected to continue to grow exponentially. Leveraging device and application discovery and control, Smart Finder enables IT administrators to proactively prevent future threats from the inside of an organization.

“While sophisticated solutions like mobile device management effectively cater today to the largest of enterprises, there was a gap where no cost-effective, simple-to-use solution was available to medium-sized businesses or smaller satellite locations of large corporations. iNetSec is very well suited to fulfill this unmet need,” said Avni Rambhia, Industry Manager, Digital Media, Frost & Sullivan.

“As the usage of personal owned devices becomes common practice within the workplace, companies need to proactively gain a better understanding of all devices connected, instead of being reactive, when managing the protection of their internal network,” said Shareen Harvey, Director of Product Marketing, Business Incubation Group, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. “Receiving the industry-recognized Frost & Sullivan 2013 North American Price Performance Value Leadership BYOD Security Management Award further validates iNetSec Smart Finder’s contribution to enabling businesses to secure their valuable resources against cyber attacks.”

“Many companies need a way to secure their networks from the inside out without the headache of high costs or extreme technical complexity,” said Carmine Clementelli, Product Manager, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. “Smart Finder has a unique blend of essential NAC and IPS features, is easy to use, and fits the budget and technical know-how of a wide range of companies.”
