Fujitsu Executives Honored for Continued Success in the Channel

Fujitsu, the market leader in document imaging scanners, is pleased to announce that Scott Francis, senior vice president of marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., and Nina Lutjens, senior vice president of sales, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., have been named as two of CRN’s 2013 Channel Chiefs. CRN’s prestigious list of the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing and defending the importance of the channel throughout the entire IT industry.

Scott Francis is responsible for marketing, product, and business development strategy and implementation. In his 13 years at Fujitsu, Francis has led numerous product-line teams and has been instrumental in several successful new scanner introductions, which includes the addition of the award winning Fujitsu fi-series scanner product family.

“Fujitsu is attracting the next generation of solution providers by offering ISVs and resellers an opportunity to be part of an exclusive channel program with a suite of support tools to ensure their success,” said Francis. “We carefully select our partners and work closely with them to provide the technology and resources they need to be viable in the market.”

Nina Lutjens has been focused on creating strong channel programs and alliances for the Imaging Products Group at Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. During Lutjens’s tenure, Fujitsu has been the beneficiary of numerous distribution “Best Practice” awards, and last year Lutjens was honored as one of CRN’s Channel Chiefs as well as one of the top “Women of the Channel.”

“Fujitsu streamlines its distribution and partner channel and because of that, our reseller revenue has grown 10% year after year,” said Lutjens. “We continue to keep a diverse portfolio of resellers in the major verticals – including government, healthcare, finance, legal, insurance, education, and transportation – and we’ve adopted product evangelists in major markets to help our solution providers sell products across the landscape.”

The Fujitsu “One Capture Alliance” Imaging Partner Program is a company-wide, channel-focused initiative that creates stronger working relationships, new opportunities, greater access to valuable information and enhanced marketing support for partners. Over the past year, Francis and Lutjens have made key investments for the One Capture Alliance program, including:

  • Demonstration equipment, a value add for resellers that can be used to prove concepts, solidify product project configurations and close deals with end users
  • Programs for channel training and education
  • Integration of Salesforce to allow for faster and more efficient processing of sales and Market Development Funds (MDF) requests
  • MDF funds for solution providers to use towards marketing campaigns, trade shows, events, and other types of demand creation
  • A telemarketing organization that is capable of conducting outbound sales calling for channel partners
