Fujitsu Brings Energy-Efficient Point-of-Sale Terminal Controllers to North American Retailers

The Fujitsu TP-X II and TP-X II Coupe Reduce Space and Power Consumption While Providing Greater Connectivity

National Retail Federation Convention --Fujitsu ( today announced that the TP-X II Point of Sale (PoS) controller and TP-X II Coupé are now available to North American retailers. First popularized in Europe, the TP-X II and the TP-X II Coupé, is 40 percent smaller, offers lower power consumption than competitors and savings on energy costs. Live product demonstrations are available at NRF in Fujitsu's booth #429 from Jan. 10-11.

  • Offered in a standard or compact Coupé form factor, the Fujitsu TP-X II controller platform is designed to meet retailers' demand for a versatile platform capable of deployment all around the store. Both feature:
    • High-efficiency power supply with 80-percent certified efficiency, enabling a full complement of peripherals to be directly powered from the control unit, simplifying installation and reducing the need for multiple power outlets
    • Optional second hard disc and RAID controller, allowing the TP-X II and TP-X II Coupé to be configured as a resilient server supporting multiple applications and client terminals
    • Smaller footprint counters, removing barriers between sales associates and customers, and offering options for under-the-counter mounting and wrapping areas for customer purchases
