Fujitsu Vice President to Present at 16th Annual CardTech/SecurTech Conference

Company to Showcase Award Winning PalmSecure™ Biometric Authentication Device

Fujitsu Computer Products of America

Sunnyvale, CA, April 25, 2006

Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that its PalmSecure™ biometric authentication device will be showcased at the 16th Annual CardTech/SecurTech Conference (CTST), May 2-4 in San Francisco. In addition Joel Hagberg, vice president, marketing and business development, will participate in the conference’s "Emerging Biometric Technologies: Vein Pattern, 3D Facial, Fingerprint Recognition" panel on May 3 at 2:00 p.m. PT

Leveraging more than twenty years of industry leading image recognition and processing expertise, Fujitsu developed palm vein recognition technology to address the growing demand for a highly accurate, user friendly biometric security solution. The device works by capturing an image of the internal palm vein pattern and then, using a propriety algorithm, verifying that image against a pre-registered database for authentication. In addition to providing physical access control, PalmSecure can also be used for data security acting as a gatekeeper for computer and network access.

At the conference Mr. Hagberg will participate in an emerging biometrics technologies panel, joining other leading-edge biometric developers to discuss growing trends and innovations within the market.

CardTech/SecurTech 2006, produced by SourceMedia, is America’s largest advanced card and biometrics conference, covering secure transaction technology, contactless cards and IT/physical access security convergence. Over 3,500 delegates and 200 exhibiting companies attended CTST in April 2005.
