Note: This update is for Apple users that have already installed macOS Sierra. Users that have previous macOS versions such as El Capitan or earlier are not affected by the compatibility issue and can use ScanSnap as normal.
Though more deeply explained in Prior Announcements and the FAQ, the problems with ScanSnap operating on macOS Sierra fall into two main categories:
These problems will be fixed after updating the following software.
For ScanSnap models: iX500, iX100, SV600, S1300i, S1100i
Update ScanSnap Manager and CardMinder.
An Online Update has been provided to users through an update notification for ScanSnap Manager and CardMinder, this will resolve how PDF files are created, allowing them to be modified on macOS Sierra going forward without the reported problems.

For ScanSnap models: S1500, S1500M, S1300, S1100
Update ScanSnap Manager.
An updated installer for ScanSnap Manager is available at Fujitsu’s Global website. The update will resolve how PDF files are created, allowing them to be modified on macOS Sierra going forward without the reported problems.
For ScanSnap Evernote Edition
Update ScanSnap Manager for Evernote Edition.
An Online Update has been provided to users through an update notification for ScanSnap Manager for Evernote Edition that will resolve how PDF files are created, allowing them to be modified on macOS Sierra going forward without the reported problems.

This update provides a fix for older PDF content created by ScanSnap capable of being modified on macOS Sierra. In order to fix this issue, please update to macOS Sierra 10.12.1 and update ScanSnap Organizer.
