Fujitsu Awarded a Place on G-Cloud 5

Fujitsu UK & Ireland

London, June 04, 2014

The Crown Commercial Service has confirmed that Fujitsu has been awarded a place on all four lots of G-Cloud 5, the latest iteration of the G-Cloud framework. This now means that Fujitsu has 61 standardised offerings available on the CloudStore.

The G-Cloud framework, with total sales of around £175.5m as of end of March 2014, is designed to drive down costs by allowing public sector bodies to procure standardised services from around 1,500 suppliers, when needed, rather than sign up to lengthy contracts with variable terms and conditions.

Since the introduction of G-Cloud in 2012, the framework has been continually refreshed, with new services from providers being added on a bi-yearly basis to allow additional choice and flexibility for the public sector IT market. With 61 Fujitsu offerings now available on the CloudStore, UK public sector bodies can procure from a broad range of flexible and agile services across the following four lots:

  • Lot 1 – Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas)
  • Lot 2 – Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Lot 3 – Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Lot 4 – Specialist Cloud Services (SCS)

With Fujitsu’s experience in delivering some of the public sector’s most successful and innovative IT projects, the company has been ever-present on the G-Cloud framework and is well positioned to collaborate and provide resilient Cloud services to help shape the future of services together with Government.

Steven Cox, Executive Director, Public Sector at Fujitsu UK & Ireland, commented, “Being awarded a place on G-Cloud 5 is a reflection of Fujitsu’s proven track record and on-going work in supporting Public Sector organisations. As a long standing supplier to Government and a leader in delivering Cloud based services, we understand the need for greater cost efficiencies, as well as transparency and agility in the procurement process.”

“We are delighted to continue supporting UK Government through our established Cloud delivery capabilities. With 61 offerings now available on Cloudstore 5, we have a broad range of services across all four lots of the G-Cloud framework. Fujitsu is absolutely committed to helping Government achieve its future vision and believe that we can deliver further value, particularly through our technology partner relationships - many of which are UK SMEs.”

All 61 of Fujitsu’s services were made available on the CloudStore on 23 May and are part of the fifth iteration of the G-Cloud framework.
