Fujitsu Simplifies Business Continuity with ‘Snapshot’ Management

Fujitsu UK & Ireland

London, October 16, 2013

Fujitsu today provides fast and consistent data recovery to minimise business downtime and enhance productivity with the FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS Snapshot Manager (ESM), an optimised and fully integrated software solution for the ETERNUS DX disk storage family. ESM adds easy snapshot management to the fastest disk storage systems in the world1, further delivering on Fujitsu’s simple, safe and scalable storage solutions.

Businesses are under constant pressure to ensure business continuity by investing in data availability and data protection. While other snapshot tools burden administrators with manual tasks – such as running scripts to generate application-consistent snapshots – Fujitsu ESM streamlines and simplifies snapshot management by granting a complete overview of snapshot data across all major applications, devices and operating systems

ESM’s granularity allows companies to quickly find and recover individual files of indexed snapshots, improving data availability and business productivity.

Pricing and availability

Fujitsu ETERNUS Snapshot Manager for ETERNUS DX is available immediately in the UK. It is sold via direct sales or Fujitsu Channel Partners. Prices vary depending on configuration.

Notes to editors

1 Fujitsu ETERNUS DX System scored the highest ever Storage Performance Council (SPC) Benchmark results for both processing throughput and price performance ratio for high-end systems as of December 3, 2012. Press release and details are now available.
