Fujitsu Introduces a Versatile Tablet for Business Productivity

London, November 19, 2014

Fujitsu today introduces a new 25.7 cm (10.1-inch) tablet, the FUJITSU Tablet STYLISTIC Q555, that is ideal for mobilised roles, particularly in enterprises or governments. Made for Microsoft Windows 8 or 8.1 environments, its human-centric design includes a bright anti-glare WUXGA display, extraordinary battery runtime, attachable keyboard, enterprise-grade security, and latest connectivity.

Empowering people is one of the foundations of Fujitsu’s vision of a Human Centric Intelligent Society, and the company is maximising the potential of mobile devices as a personal technology platform. With the rapid rise of tablets, enterprises have a huge opportunity to harness this technology to improve the creativity and productivity of their employees. Fujitsu is working closely with its customers around the world to analyse and understand the different specific work roles of users, to ensure that versatile devices such as the STYLISTIC Q555 can best address their needs.

The STYLISTIC Q555 provides the perfect balance between mobility and productivity. It is designed to enable all-day working from anywhere without the need to connect to an external power supply, thanks to a 10-hour battery life. The anti-glare touch display is easy to use, even in direct sunlight. The lightweight 655 g tablet has a toughened screen that is scratch resistant for day-to-day use.

Connected anytime, anywhere with optionally embedded 4G/LTE connectivity, this versatile 2 in 1 device comes with enterprise-grade security including SmartCard reader as well as innovative user-authentication with contactless SmartCard, based on optional NFC (near field communication) technology, plus optional fingerprint reader and encrypted SSDs. Physical safety and easy handling in all use cases are assured with optional hand strap, shoulder strap, or VESA mount, while combining with keyboard and cradle enables a desktop-like experience.

Jörg Hartmann, Vice President Global Client Computing Devices, Fujitsu
