Fujitsu Software Corporation today announced a global surge in demand for its Interstage® Suite, one of the world's broadest lines of application infrastructure software products. In the last nine months of 2003, sales tripled as customers and partners worldwide made Interstage Suite products their solutions of choice to design, develop and manage their customised, mission-critical applications.
Global companies and leading government agencies around the world are adopting the Interstage Suite and choosing Fujitsu as their trusted worldwide provider. Among these enterprises are new customers, including Belgium Railways, Computer Associates, Degussa (a German multinational corporation consistently aligned to highly profitable specialty chemistry), Post Office Ltd. (the largest Post Office network in Europe and the largest retail branch network in the UK), the Spanish Traffic Authority, and Zenith Insurance Company. Additionally, Fujitsu Services Oy in Finland utilised the Interstage Suite in a customer implementation of its industry-leading billing software rtBilling. Leveraging the flexible, modular design of the Interstage Suite, these enterprises are implementing the application infrastructure products they need to meet their current demands, secure in the knowledge that Fujitsu's broad product set and global services can support their future needs.
"The trend among enterprises is toward the application infrastructure suite or platform because they want to standardise on one vendor and one technology," said Janelle Hill, program director, Integration and Development Practice, META Group. "These companies are looking to buy incrementally, but plan strategically, with solutions today that will support them tomorrow."
Next-Generation Interstage Suite and Strategic Partners Spur Growth
Two key factors contributing to customer demand have been the introduction of Fujitsu's newest Interstage Suite release and the expansion of strategic partnerships.
In October 2003, Fujitsu Software Corporation announced the next generation of its Interstage Suite, one of the world's broadest families of application infrastructure software products for designing, developing, and managing scalable, customised mission-critical applications. The newest Interstage Suite offers groundbreaking new products with Interstage XML Search and Interstage XBRL Processor, as well as feature enhancements to the suite's proven Interstage Business Process Manager and Interstage Portal modules to facilitate the management of processes and content, and support Web services.
At the same time, a growing circle of strategic partners has expanded the worldwide availability of solutions based on best-of-breed technology from the Interstage Suite. New partners added in 2003 include Sybase, Inc., OpenPages, Prodata Systems and SSA Global. Long-standing partners Blue Martini; ILOG; Interwoven; Fujitsu España; Fujitsu Services; Glovia International, Inc.; and GlobalSight Corporation also extended their relationships with Fujitsu Software Corporation in the last year.
"The accelerated customer demand for our Interstage products is strong validation that we are delivering squarely on the demands of enterprises around the world," said Robert Sepanloo, general manager and senior vice president of Interstage at Fujitsu Software Corporation. "With Interstage, companies get best-in-class infrastructure software backed by the global reach and services of Fujitsu, the world's third largest information technology provider, and a worldwide network of solutions partners to address the diverse range of business and IT management demands faced by enterprises today."
