Bringing together hardware and connectivity

Fujitsu Components Europe

Hoofddorp, November 02, 2017

This year Fujitsu Components Europe will reveal the latest developments in Wireless Solutions including the Fujitsu and Wirepas co-created IoT Connectivity Solution.

Visit Fujitsu Forum 2017

This ultimate IoT Connectivity Solution is a secure, scalable and easy-to-use solution for various application areas, such as healthcare, industrial automation and smart building.

Fujitsu now offers ready-to-go solutions for various IoT applications – for example a connected sensor beacon with an embedded high-accuracy accelerometer/temperature sensor including Wide Area Mesh connectivity.

"In the constantly evolving and growing IoT market customers are looking for upgradable solutions instead of just hardware. This is exactly what we are bringing to the market, together with Wirepas. For Own Equipment Manufacturers, we offer our wide range of wireless modules with Wirepas Connectivity embedded.", Dennis van Doorn, Marketing Manager, Wireless Solutions Fujitsu.

The Fujitsu sensor beacons are small (40 x 31 x 12mm) CR2450 cell battery powered nodes that will last for years. Fujitsu also offers the possibility to enable Wirepas Connectivity on the high-quality small wireless modules such as the FWM7BLZ20, currently released as the best-in-class Bluetooth® version 4.2 module. During this year’s Fujitsu Forum, Fujitsu Components will also show its concept of a brand new photovoltaic cell powered beacon.

Called "Fujitsu Solar Beacon", is the world’s first mass production photovoltaic cell powered beacon for indoor and outdoor use, is maintenance free, has no batteries and is easy to install opening up a multitude of possibilities.
