Fujitsu Innovation Gathering comes to Paris Taking place at the Parc Floral de Paris, on June 9th, 2016

London and Paris, January 19, 2016 – Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Ltd. and Fujitsu France have announced today that the 2016 Fujitsu Innovation Gathering will be held on June 9th at the Parc Floral de Paris, alongside the French leg of the Fujitsu World Tour 2016. The annual showcase for Fujitsu Laboratories in Europe, the ‘Fujitsu Innovation Gathering’, provides a unique opportunity to see Fujitsu’s latest technologies – often for the first time outside of Japan. For 2016, the focus is on applying R&D to solve real-world issues and accelerate the process of digital transformation, with a major emphasis on open innovation and co-creation. Key technologies on show will include Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe’s advanced data analytics expertise, integrated with its proven deep-learning, graph network and social analysis tools – demonstrated for financial technology and tourism applications. Other exciting planned demonstrations include solutions for intelligent transportation, wearable devices to facilitate hands-free operations in advanced manufacturing, and Fujitsu’s latest advances in imaging and contactless image stitching, deployed for healthcare and archiving applications respectively.
The Fujitsu World Tour is the world’s largest IT roadshow, attracting more than 10,000 experts during 18 events held on five continents. During the one-day event in Paris, visitors will be able to attend a series of high level presentations and technical sessions hosted by Fujitsu experts and partners. A specially created ‘City of the Future’ will include over 40 demonstrations, in addition to the latest solutions and innovations on show from Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe. Fujitsu’s Channel Partners will be given an exclusive preview on the previous day, when Fujitsu France is also holding its annual Select Expert Convention at the Parc Floral de Paris. This strategic event for Fujitsu Channel Partners represents an important opportunity for Fujitsu to share its strategy and vision, as well as celebrating outstanding Partner contributions.
In addition, Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe and Fujitsu France are holding a special Fujitsu Linked Open Data Competition, designed to encourage the use of Linked Open Data as a way of creating valuable new applications for the public and private sectors. Open to both individuals and organisations, it highlights how the ability to link the many different sources of Open Data can play a vital role in the future, thanks to its potential for improving science, business, and society.
