Fujitsu Asia today announced that it will be exhibiting its inaugural "Go-To-Market" Laboratory (GTM Lab) at iX 2003. 'Lab Rats' will be on hand to provide assistance and support to visitors on how they can transform their businesses into a customer centric enterprise model by leveraging on Fujitsu's best of breed IT solutions.

The Fujitsu Asia GTM Lab will be featuring three IT showpieces divided into the Enterprise, Networking and Wireless highlighting 13 best of breed solutions.

iX 2003 is an integrated exhibition and conference focusing on the future of the infocomm industry in the region to be held from 1 October 2003 until 3 October 2003 at the Singapore Expo.

"This is the first time Fujitsu Asia is featuring its "Go-To-Market" Laboratory which we believe will help customers truly appreciate the relevance of IT&T solutions to their businesses. Our innovative solutions will help companies meet today's challenges and be highly competitive in a rapidly changing environment," said Mr Chng Teo-Hye, Chairman and co-CEO of Fujitsu Asia.

One of the highlighted solutions is Systemwalker ListCREATOR which generates, manages, and distributes forms as needed for businesses. It is the ideal solution for tracking and printing personnel, accounting, manufacturing, and many more types of mission-critical forms.

Systemwalker ListCREATOR automatically recognizes existing paper forms and converts them to electronic forms, distributes forms and reports over the Internet using a Web application and links with enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications such as SAP R/3 and Oracle's E-Business Suite, and manages the documents generated by these applications.

Making its inaugural appearance at Fujitsu Asia's booth will be HOAP*, a miniature humanoid robot designed for wide application in research and development of robotic technologies. Weighing 6kg and standing 48cm tall, the light and compact HOAP* and accompanying simulation software can be used for developing motion control algorithms in such areas as two-legged walking, as well as in research on human-to-robot communication interfaces.

The wide range of use and safe and efficient programme development environment makes HOAP* an ideal tool for research and development work in robotics. Currently, HOAP* is being deployed for research purposes at the National University of Singapore.

* HOAP (acronym stands for Humanoid for Open Architecture Platform)
