  • Fujitsu's High-End PRIMEPOWER Servers Break One Million Operations per Second Barrier Singapore, Singapore,Malaysia, June 18, 2003 - Fujitsu Asia Private Limited today announced record-breaking results for its PRIMEPOWER™ 2500 UNIX® system in the SPECjbb_2000 Java performance benchmark. Breaking the one million operations per second barrier for the first time, Fujitsu achieved performance of 1,420,177 operations per second with a 112-way PRIMEPOWER 2500 system using the company's 1.3GHz SPARC64® V processors, shattering records previously set by HP, Sun and IBM in the same performance tests. In the 64-way server category, as well, PRIMEPOWER 2500 outpaced the competition with performance of over 800,000 operations per second. These benchmark results were published on www.spec.org as of May 29, 2003.
