Fujitsu Asia Organises Free IT Training Courses for the Disadvantaged

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd today announced that it will offer free Internet training courses to more than a hundred Singaporean youths and adults from underprivileged backgrounds. Working hand-in-hand with the Community Chest, Fujitsu Asia will train these participants from welfare homes with the basic Internet skills and equip them with useful tools and utilities, starting May 28. The training, conducted by Fujitsu's Training Services Department, will enable participants to learn IT skills to appreciate the benefits of the Internet society and help open doors of opportunities for them to a better future.

For this project, we are committing our talent, time and resources to equip the less privileged Singaporeans with the basic skills of the Internet. The program serves to impart fundamental know-how to help the underprivileged plug into the Internet world and gain access to the vast wealth of knowledge and information. Beneficiaries of the course may choose to build a career with the basic skills upon completion of the course.
