Fujitsu and Y3 Technologies Forge Strategic Alliance to Jointly Develop Mobile Supply Chain Management Technology

This arrangement between the leading internet/telco technology infrastructure developer and supply chain solutions provider, paves the way for a new hybrid of wireless solutions that can be seamlessly applied on any mobile apparatus, leveraging on global communications networks

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd., a leading internet/telco technology infrastructure developer and Y3 Technologies Pte Ltd (Y3), home-grown logistics supply chain solutions provider, today announced the formation of a strategic alliance to develop mobile applications for managing and authenticating the transaction events along the supply chain in real-time.

The partnership between the two innovative leaders in their respective fields brings together the critical expertise of two distinct yet fundamentally vital knowledge-based domains - that of Mobile Technologies Infrastructure and Suppl ychain™ Management Solutions. Fujitsu Asia will provide the know-how in relevant technologies and the setup of appropriate infrastructure for Mobile Application Services, in areas such as security and interfacing of mobile technologies used by the various mobile network operators. Y3 will provide its proprietary domain knowledge in the applications of end-to-end Suppl ychain™ Management Solutions, where mobile transactions and wireless application could be adopted to enhance the efficiencies in the business processes within supply chains. The inaugural project of the FAPL/Y3 consortium will be the development of an Electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD*) for Mobile Supply Chain Transactions.
