Fujitsu’s Smart ATM Now Available Across Europe following ECB Certification

Fujitsu CEMEA&I

Munich, июля 10, 2014

Fujitsu today announces that its FUJITSU ATM Series 100, a cash-recycling ATM (Automated Teller Machine), has cleared the last hurdle to its widespread availability across Europe by passing certification from the European Central Bank (ECB). Achieving ECB certification is a mandatory requirement for banknote-handling machines used in Europe to ensure the quality and reliability of circulating Euro banknotes. Developed specifically for the European market to detect and trace counterfeit notes as it efficiently sorts and handles Euro banknotes, the FUJITSU ATM Series 100 passed the following tests:

  • Authentication – regarding detecting and removing counterfeit notes
  • Fitness – regarding sorting and removing inappropriate banknotes for recycling, such as dirty and torn notes
  • Trace – regarding tracing customer information used to identify counterfeit notes

Manufactured in Spain, the FUJITSU ATM Series 100 is a smart ATM that has been developed by taking advantage of Fujitsu’s 40 years’ experience in the global ATM market, and is based on the company’s market-leading position and innovation capabilities in financial services technology.

Pricing and availability

The FUJITSU ATM Series 100 is available to order direct from Fujitsu.

Advantages of the FUJITSU ATM Series 100:

  1. Variety of banknote acceptance and recycling models: customers can select the most suitable type of banknote acceptance and recycling model, for example a simple model or a standard model, depending on the frequency of banknote acceptance to maximize return on investment.
  2. Compliant with the latest security standards, such as PCI 3.0. Physical security and data security is assured.
  3. To prevent ATM card skimming (undertaken by criminals to copy personal data), physical protection and active protection functionality makes it possible to detect a skimming device and to disable it.
  4. ATM facade templates are provided making it easy to customize the ‘look and feel’ to customer requirements.
  5. Highly-secure user authentication with FUJITSU PalmSecure technology.
  6. As it is equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality, mobile NFC payments are possible.
