Portugal Trainers' House sells its mobile technology unit to Nice

March 06, 2008

Trainers' House divests its mobile technology to Nice-business Solutions Finland Oy. Nineteen people will transfer to Nice in connection with the sale. Nice is a joint venture of Fujitsu Services Oy and Nokia Oyj.

Trainers' House is a growth system company whose mission is to help its customers to grow. The divested mobile business was not at the core of the new Trainers' House strategy. This is why selling the mobile technology unit to a strong mobile technology enterprise will offer its customers better chances to succeed in their business goals and give staff more opportunities for career progression.

"After this divestment, the technological solutions provided by Trainers' House Group will be almost solely Microsoft-based, and we intend to strengthen our Microsoft expertise further in the future," says Tuomas Airisto, Strategy Director of Trainers' House.

"Purchasing the mobile technology unit expands our strategy in a natural way. For Nice this is a question of remarkable growth step and considerable investment in the starting phase of the software development lifecycle. Because of the transaction Nice strengthens its role as a designer and provider of mobile technology solutions, for now its services cover the whole range of mobile services and technology solutions: from the initiation phase planning and design work to mobile solutions usability and user interface planning and production. With mobile technology unit Nice's net sales will increase over to 50 million Euros a year. After transaction the number of our personnel is 565 including subcontractors," comments Jouko Seppä, Managing Director of Nice.
