New ICT service desk contract for Fujitsu at Rijkswaterstaat

In addition to service desk, Fujitsu will also implement local support and inventory management

Maarssen, June 26, 2019 – Rijkswaterstaat awarded the first and second-line support for office automation work to Fujitsu. The IT service desk, local support and inventory management will be in the hands of the Japanese IT company for the next 3 years. The contract can then be extended 3 times for one year. Fujitsu has been providing the Rijkswaterstaat IT Service Desk for the last four years.
In the coming 3 years, Fujitsu will optimally support the 9,000 internal and external employees. Due to the digitization of society, ICT is becoming increasingly important for Rijkswaterstaat.
With this cooperation, Rijkswaterstaat aims to achieve that the user-friendliness of the ICT Service Desk is increased, lead times shortened and the number of reports reduced.

Service desk and IT on site
With the new tender, the service desk will be transferred from Rijkswaterstaat to Fujitsu.
Fujitsu is also responsible for providing on-site IT services, managing inventory and all related work.
