Fujitsu’s Business-centric Infrastructure Systems Deliver World Record Virtualization Performance for Greater Flexibility

Fujitsu EMEIA

Luxembourg, October 05, 2015 Fujitsu today announces five benchmark world records for data center virtualization that prove PRIMERGY servers and mission-critical PRIMEQUEST systems are dominant market leaders when it comes to performance. Latest VMware VMmark benchmarks demonstrate Fujitsu’s virtualization pre-eminence in nearly every class for greater flexibility and as a perfect basis for integrated and hyperconverged systems. The record breakers are:

  • Best-performing 2-socket virtualization platform (matched pair)1
FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX2540 M1: The FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX2540 M1 is the ideal 2U dual socket rack server for high usability, scalability and cost-efficiency. Its Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 processors in conjunction with DDR4 memory technology with up to 1.5 TB increase performance to meet the requirements for data center processing, enterprise applications as well as collaboration.
  • Best-performing 4-socket virtualization platform (matched pair)2
FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX4770 M2: Designed for business-critical back-end services, the quad-socket PRIMERGY RX4770 M2 is equipped with the latest of the Intel Xeon Processor E7 v3 Family and up to 6TB super-fast DDR4 main memory. Its features make it an exceptional platform for running demanding and data-intensive databases, applications, and business intelligence (BI) workloads. In addition, it substantially simplifies carrying out infrastructure-related tasks such as server virtualization at a price point that also makes it attractive for consolidation projects.
  • Best-performing 8-socket virtualization platform / best matched pair overall3
FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST 2800B2: The eight-socket PRIMEQUEST 2800B2 model is ideally suited to handle more memory-intensive applications like in-memory computing and SAP HANA, while giving cost-efficiency and peace-of-mind for business-critical security levels.
  • Best-performing virtualization platform4
FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST 2800E2 (8 x 2-way partitions): The eight-socket PRIMEQUEST 2800E2 is best suited to mission-critical computing, where downtime is not an option. They offer an attractive alternative to businesses that want to migrate to a x86 platform without losing the reliability of current UNIX/mainframe systems.
  • Best-performing 4-socket virtualization platform overall5
FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST 2800E2 (4 x 4-way partitions): Thanks to the system design and its flexibility including physical partitioning, the PRIMEQUEST 2800E2 could also deliver outstanding results in a 4 x 4-way partitioned configuration. This once more shows the usability for several, individual requirements without any compromise in virtualization scenarios.
Fujitsu’s approach to servers, mainframes, storage and integrated systems offer more flexibility to tailor data center technologies to customers’ specific requirements. The company provides the benefits of secure robust, future-proofed technologies from a single source that also enables customers to benefit from its unique, consultative approach. This ensures they get exactly what their organization demands.

Pricing and availability
