Notice Regarding Operation Recovery from Impact of the Tohoku Earthquake

Yokohama, Japan, March 28, 2011- As a result of the earthquake that struck the Tohoku (northeastern) region of Japan on March 11, 2011, a portion of the semiconductor manufacturing facilities of Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited were damaged. The company sincerely apologizes to its customers and other related parties for any inconveniences caused by the impact from this earthquake.

Certain parts of the back-end manufacturing processes have already resumed operations with all affected plants expected to restart operations according to the following schedule:

Partial operations have resumed at all affected plants with the dedicated support and co-operation of the company's equipment and material manufacturers. Fujitsu Semiconductor is currently in the process of further restoring the activities of its affected facilities as well as further extending the transfer of production to alternative plants within its group.

Although effects to the infrastructure, including electric power, remain severe, Fujitsu Semiconductor will continue to make its utmost effort in ensuring the fastest possible resumption of full operations.
