Fujitsu Ireland Recognised for Excellence and Social Responsibility in the Local Community

Company wins Multinational Employer of the Year for Corporate Social Responsibility for the second year in a row

Fujitsu Ireland has been named Multinational Employer of the Year for Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the second year running at the 2015 Fingal Business Excellence & Corporate Responsibility Gala Awards. The awards event, which was held the Crowne Plaza Dublin, Dublin Airport was attended by over 430 guests form across the local and business community.

The Multinational Employer of the Year Award is open to multinational companies who have based their operations in the Fingal area and can demonstrate how their CSR policies have achieved results through their commitment to strengthen the links with the local community. The winner of this award has set a great example to others in terms of their long term involvement and support of the local community.  The creation of a positive and inclusive workplace culture has contributed to this engagement and allowed staff at all levels to become part of the numerous CSR activities.

Welcoming the award, Cathleen Doohan, People & CSR Director Fujitsu Ireland, said: “Fujitsu Ireland is delighted to win a Fingal Dublin Business Excellence and Corporate Responsibility Award. 2015 marked the thirteenth Annual Fingal Business Excellence Awards, a hallmark of excellence for all businesses in the area. The Chamber Awards recognise and congratulate the business leaders who drive innovative business processes, product development, enterprise, sustainability and overall business success across all sectors.

An esteemed panel of independent judges from Spotcheck assessed the companies from around Fingal that made it through to the shortlist stage of the awards. From nearly two hundred applications the judges selected the finalists and the winners for the Awards evening. The winners were chosen for their business accomplishments as well as their dynamism, focus and ethical standards.
