Fujitsu Awarded Four Year Framework Agreement with Buying Solutions

August 21, 2009

Fujitsu has signed a four year framework agreement with Buying Solutions, the UK public sector procurement partner. The agreement is for the supply of ICT consultancy and delivery services and will allow Fujitsu to offer consultancy services relating to the development of strategies for ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) to public sector customers through this efficient procurement channel.

Eithne Wallis CB, managing director, Government Business, Fujitsu UK and Ireland says, “Maintaining a prominent position as a significant supplier of products and services through UK Government’s Buying Solutions frameworks is important to us. We are particularly pleased to be recognised for our ICT consulting capability which couples highly strategic and business focused advice with the vast experience that we have gained from running some of the largest IT infrastructures in the UK.”

Fujitsu’s ICT strategy consultancy services provide CIOs and business leaders with practical, cost effective guidance and support. David Rosewell, Government Consulting, Fujitsu UK and Ireland says, “Securing a place on the framework agreement represents an endorsement of the strategic ICT consultancy that we have carried out for our customers over the last few years. They like our practical style of consulting, the way we work with them and the fact that we will not recommend anything that cannot be implemented. Increasingly, customers want a different type of consulting that is outcome focused and that is at the heart of everything we do”.

This contract is a continuation of the long relationship that Fujitsu has with Buying Solutions, and furthers the partnership with the UK public sector, which continues to be a major part of Fujitsu’s business.
