Modifications:

ScanSnap Manager:

  Changes from V5.1L81 to V5.5L10:

• The performance of rendering PDF files under the latest recommended system requirements for ScanSnap (CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 2.5 GHz or higher, memory size: 4 GB or more) has been improved. ^(*1)
  Specifically, ScanSnap Organizer's rendering performance has significantly improved up to 200% compared to the previous version (the average time when scanned as color PDF files). ^(*2)
  

  (*1)	When compared to the value obtained using ScanSnap Manager V5.1 or older and ScanSnap Organizer V4.1 or older. This improvement rate is available when rendering PDF files less than 1 GB (Note: 1 GB of data is roughly equivalent to 813 sheets of color documents scanned using the "Best" image quality setting.)
  (*2)	Improvement rate varies depending on document type and/or scanning mode settings.

• Windows® 10 is supported.
• The feature [Scan to Google DocsTM] has been renamed to [Scan to Google Drive].
• Fixed the issue where [Scan to Dropbox] could not be displayed in some occasions.

ScanSnap Organizer:

  Changes from V5.5L31 to V5.5L32:

• Modified the error where some vertical black lines infrequently appear on PDF files that are output using a previous application.

  Changes from V4.1L71 to V5.5L31:

• The performance of rendering PDF files under the latest recommended system requirements for ScanSnap (CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 2.5 GHz or higher, memory size: 4 GB or more) has been improved. ^(*1)
  Specifically, ScanSnap Organizer's rendering performance has significantly improved up to 200% compared to the previous version (the average time when scanned as color PDF files). ^(*2)

• Added the function to save unedited version of a file when it is edited.
• The feature [Scan to Google DocsTM] has been renamed to [Scan to Google Drive].
• Modified so that the original files will be moved to the recycle bin once the merged file is created.
• Modified so that files can be saved on ScanSnap Organizer Viewer after the files are edited (including deskewing, trimming, and page merging) on the application.
• Fixed the issue where [Scan to Dropbox] could not be displayed in some occasions.

Apply this update to install the latest version of ScanSnap Manager and ScanSnap Organizer.

Installation Instructions

How to update

1. Be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.
2. Download "WinSSUpdatepackV55L10WW-2.exe" onto your hard drive.
   Make sure you have enough free disk space (at least more than twice the download file size) for installing the programs.
3. Quit any applications that are running on your computer.
4. Execute the downloaded "WinSSUpdatepackV55L10WW-2.exe" file to start the update installation.
5. Follow the instructions from the Installation Wizard to complete the installation.

How to check whether the update is successfully applied

ScanSnap Manager:

1. Right click the "S" mark in the task tray, select [Help] -> [About ScanSnap Manager] to display ScanSnap Manager Version Information.
2. In the "About ScanSnap Manager" window, confirm that the version of ScanSnap Manager is "V5.5L10".
   

ScanSnap Organizer:

1. Click [Options] under the Application button to display the options screen of ScanSnap Organizer.
2. Select the [Resources].
3. Click the [About] button.
4. In the "About ScanSnap Organizer" window, confirm that the version of ScanSnap Organizer is "V5.5L32".
   

Notice

A linkage with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server had come with ScanSnap Organizer, not optional feature; however it has become an optional feature that is included in the installer of Scan to Microsoft SharePoint 3.4.2 since this version.

For this reason users who would like to use the linkage with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server will have to install Scan to Microsoft SharePoint 3.4.2 after installing this update.

There are two exceptions where installation of Scan to Microsoft SharePoint is not necessary for exporting files to the SharePoint Server:

• ScanSnap Organizer V4.1L41 or later is installed before updated.
• Scan to Microsoft SharePoint 3.4.1 is already been installed.

Now that you have completed the update, please refer to the Readme ( ScanSnap Manager /  ScanSnap Organizer) file prior to use.
