Are there any hints to modify the scanned image of a book nicely?

Yes, the scanned image may be corrected nicely by modifying the corner points and the outline of the book in the Book Image Correction Viewer. Follow the procedure below to modify the corner points and the outline.

  1. Modify the corner points.
The corner points can be modified by either of the following:
    • Drag the corner points to move them to the corners of the book and both ends of the gutter.
    • Double-click the corners of the book and both ends of the gutter.
The corner points automatically move to the corners of the book and both ends of the gutter.
  2. Modify the outline.
Drag the outline to align to the shape of the book. If it is hard to align to the outline of the book, drag the outline gradually.
For easy operation, click the outline near the corner points and drag and drop the outline to align it with the shape of the book repeatedly.
For thick books such as hardback books, better result may be achieved by aligning the outline with the shape of the page you would like to save.
