Scanning does not start even when pressing the [scan] button. (OS X v10.9 (Mavericks))
The processing speed of ScanSnap Manager is reduced due to the App Nap function in OS X v10.9 (Mavericks). This creates a time lag in the communication between the computer and the ScanSnap scanner, so the scanner may not be able to detect that the [scan] button is pressed.
Please disable the App Nap function in ScanSnap Manager with the following procedures:
- Exit ScanSnap Manager.
- Click [Go] --> [Applications] from the Finder.
- Open the ScanSnap folder. Click the ScanSnap Manager file while pressing the Control key and click [Get Info].
- Check the "Prevent App Nap" checkbox.
