The error message "The security protocol does not match with the wireless access point. Select the correct protocol, and try again." appears and the connection fails even though the correct protocol is selected.

This message may appear when your unencrypted scanner tries to connect to the access point where WEP or 802.1X (Dynamic-WEP) is specified as the encryption method. To solve this issue, use the same encryption method as specified in the access point and try again.
