After updating Evernote, ScanSnap cannot link with Evernote.


If Evernote for Windows (4.5.1.5432 or later) is installed, the below malfunctions occur and ScanSnap cannot link with Evernote. Evernote for Windows (4.5.1.5432 or later) has been released in the middle of September 2011 from Evernote Corporation.

[Case1: Quick Menu]

  • The "Scan to Evernote (Note)" and "Scan to Evernote (Document)" icons are not displayed.

[Case2: Scan Button Setting]

  • The "Scan to Evernote (Note)" and "Scan to Evernote (Document)" icons are not displayed at "Application" under the "Application" tab.
  • The error "Failed to start up Evernote for Windows." occurs when scanning under the situation that "Scan to Evernote (Note)" or "Scan to Evernote (Document)" is selected at "Application" under the "Application" tab.

[Case3: ScanSnap Organizer]

  • The "Scan to Evernote" icon is not displayed at the ribbon menu, the Actions view, and the right-click menu.

How to solve the malfunctions
Go to the following ScanSnap Manager and ScanSnap Organizer support pages and download and install the latest update for each software.
