It takes a long time to start scanning. Is there any way to reduce the waiting time?

If your system uses Windows Defender, the waiting time can be reduced by excluding processes of PaperStream Capture from real-time monitoring.

  1. Open [Windows Defender Security Center].
  2. Select [Virus & threat protection settings].
  3. Select [Process] for [Add an exclusion], and select the following processes of PaperStream Capture to exclude them from being monitored:
    • PFU.PaperStream.Capture.exe
    • PFU.PaperStream.Capture.Proc.exe
    • ScandAllPDFProc.exe
