Optical Error

If an optical type error is detected, please check if cleaning the glass and ADF paper path solves the problem.
If the normal functioning state does not recover when turning on the scanner again, please contact the dealer where you purchased the scanner or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider and inform the message displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window.

ADF cleaning method
  1. Turn off the scanner.
  2. Open the ADF while pushing down on the ADF open button.

    ScanningCAUTION: The glass surface inside the ADF can become extremely hot while operating the scanner. Take care not to touch the glass until it has cooled.

  3. Moisten a cloth with Cleaner F1 and wipe clean the glasses inside of the ADF. Thoroughly wipe off any dust and stains.
  4. Close the ADF.
  5. Turn the scanner on again.
