Optical error (ADF back)

[Target models: fi-6670(A) / fi-6770(A)]
When there is an irregularity in the amount of light (ADF back), "E" and "3" will be displayed alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner.
Follow the procedure below to clean the ADF.

1. Turn off the scanner.
2. Open the ADF while pushing the ADF open button.

   ---

   CAUTION:

   The glass surface inside the ADF can become extremely hot while operating the scanner. Take care not to touch the glass until it has cooled.

   ---

3. Moisten a cloth with Cleaner F1 and wipe clean the glasses inside of the ADF. Thoroughly wipe off any dust and stains.
4. Close the ADF.
5. Turn the scanner on again.

If the normal functioning state does not recover when turning on the scanner again, please contact the dealer where you purchased the scanner or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider and inform the agent of the error message number displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window.
