Before starting a project, its objectives must be clearly defined and the activities must be structured. The integration of SAP® Project System (SAP PS) with other SAP application modules enables you to design, plan, and execute projects as a part of your normal project procedures. As a result, the PS module provides continuous data access to all departments involved in the project.

SAP® Production Planning and Control (SAP PP)

SAP® Production Planning and Control (SAP PP) is a production planning and control module. Specifically, it provides production planning (MPS/MRP) based on customer orders and demand forecasts. Based on the production plan, SAP PP calculates the quantities of finished and semi-finished products to be produced and the quantities of raw materials to be ordered, and then translates each of them into manufacturing instructions and purchase orders. Production is then carried out in accordance with the production instructions, and the actual production results, such as how many finished and semi-finished products were produced (incoming goods), how many semi-finished products and raw materials were used (outgoing goods), and how much time was spent to do the work (job completion confirmation), are entered to compare them against the production instructions. Accurate production results SAP PP enables you to accurately plan production, manage inventory, and control costs. Inputting data into SAP PP allows you to manage your inventory in real time and with a high degree of accuracy. In addition, the actual costs incurred in the manufacturing process can be linked to SAP® Controlling (SAP CO) to understand the manufacturing costs.

SAP® Material Management (SAP MM)

The SAP system is made up of various components that are fully integrated. This integration allows various departments and units of the company to share and retain the same information. SAP® Material Management (SAP MM) is a component of Material Management (MM). The Material Management (MM) module is fully integrated with other modules in the SAP system. All phases of the inventory/procurement control process (project planning/control→procurement control→warehousing, inventory control→invoice reconciliation) can be realized. Specifically, the system’s functions include requesting orders from suppliers, placing purchase orders, receiving goods, checking invoices received from suppliers (invoice matching), and invoice matching information can be linked to SAP® Financial Accounting (SAP FI) to process payments to suppliers. SAP MM also has inventory management capabilities, which allows tracking how much inventory the company currently has in each storage area, as well as how many inventory assets it has in each plant. Inventory assets increase or decrease as inventory comes in or going out. You can select the type of goods coming in or going out, called the “movement type” and decide what kind of accounting journal to generate, and automatically create a journal entry that fits your company.

SAP® Sales and Distribution (SAP SD)

SAP® Sales and Distribution (SAP SD) in SAP ERP is a module for sales management. It provides standard business processes in the areas of sales support, ordering, shipping instructions, and invoicing. Specifically, its functions include quotes and orders from customers, shipping of goods and invoicing to customers, and linking invoice information to SAP® Financial Accounting (SAP FI) to record sales. Special sales processes can also be handled flexibly, such as the return order → receipt → cancellation invoice process for returns, or the order → invoice process for service companies that do not handle goods. SAP® Sales and Distribution (SAP SD) allows you to issue forms (trade forms, invoices, etc.) in any of your order, shipping, and invoicing processes, so that you can improve your sales operations. It also has the flexibility to determine prices to suit your pricing concept, for example, if you want to change the price of the same item for different customers, or if you want to offer discounts based on sales volume.

With SAP® Plant Maintenance (SAP PM), you can automate repairs and facilitate repair requests within your organization. The SAP system allows you to document issues, plan labor and material activities, and record and bill costs.
Organizations can identify, document, and manage issues and perform enterprise asset management on the assets they need. To carry out these activities, plant maintenance includes the following sub-modules.
