PFU’s New Office Linkage Function Loaded ScanSnap

ScanSnap "one touch" easy-to-use compact color duplex ADF scanners are being used by thousands of people around the world to digitize paper-based information.
The S510, the most recent addition to the ScanSnap family, comes armed with a "Quick Menu" function that enables users to easily attach scanned images to email messages and to use this scanner in place of a photocopier. This new function also lets users scan directly to Microsoft® Word and Excel files. As a result, the S510 helps users achieve greater efficiency through smoothing the process of digitizing and utilizing scanned information.
The addition of this new feature makes ScanSnap an even more useful partner at the office.

ScanSnap S510 Main Features

1. Automatically converts scanned data into Microsoft® Word and Excel files (New)
   The Japanese S510 uses a Fujitsu developed world-class OCR engine to easily convert ScanSnap scanned data into Microsoft® Word and Excel files(*2) for improved office related efficiency when making use of scanned paper based data.
2. Scan documents directly to email and use the S510 in place of a photocopier (New)
   The ScanSnap concept of speedy and easy to use "one touch" scanning has taken another step forward. The S510 is armed with a new function that enables users to directly scan-to-email, scan-to-print (photocopier function) and scan-to-folders. The result is not just easier scanning, but easier application of digitized data.
3. Bundled with Adobe® Acrobat® 8 Standard (New)
   The S510 includes Adobe® Acrobat® 8 Standard, the latest version of this widely used business document management software, for easy PDF creation, editing and management.

Other features

• Microsoft® Vista™ compatible
• The S510 includes software trial versions of PDF file management software, OCR software and other software that is useful at the office.
