PFU Launches its Simplex Color A4 ADF/Flatbed Tandem fi-5015C Scanner

-- Making the Fujitsu Brand “fi-Series” Line-Up All that Much Stronger! --

On March 23, 2006, PFU (President: Yuji Hirose, Tokyo Head Office: Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture) announced the Japanese launching and first shipments of its simplex color A4 ADF (*1) / flatbed tandem entry level fi-5015C scanner; the newest member to its Fujitsu fi-Series (*2) line-up.

fi-5015C(A4 simplex ADF+Flatbed model)PFU released its new excellent price-performance entry level simplex color A4 ADF / flatbed tandem fi-5015C scanner in order to further strengthen its fi-Series line-up, which includes products that range from compact scanners through to high-speed scanners.
The fi-5015C is ideal for all scanning needs. In addition to being able to continuously scan documents with its ADF, the brand new fi-5015C is able to digitize bound documents, such as brochures, with its flatbed.
The fi-5015C is environmentally friendly as well. It switches to an energy efficient sleep mode that uses 6W or less when not in use. Furthermore, the fi-5015C meets regulations that place limits on the use of hazardous substances in electrical equipment.

fi-5015C Main Features

  1. Able to scan documents at an impressive 15ppm for its class
The fi-5015C is able to continuously scan up to 50 color or monochrome A4 pages at an impressive 15 pages per minute (color: 150dpi / monochrome: 200dpi). This color scanning speed is 4.5 times faster than that of the fi-4010C, its forerunner.
  2. ADF/Flatbed tandem entry-level scanner
In addition to being able to continuously scan regular sized paper documents with its ADF, the fi-5015C is able to digitize brochures and other bound documents as well as irregularly sized documents with its flatbed. This flexibility makes the fi-5015C ideal for digitizing paper documents for meeting decentralized archiving and searchability needs.
  3. Environmental compatibility
The fi-5015C is fully compliant with the RoHS Act (*3), a European regulation, which places limits on the use of hazardous substances in electrical equipment. Furthermore, it switches to an energy efficient sleep mode that uses 6W or less when not in use.
