New College Worcester appointed Cutter Group to design and implement the new central IT infrastructure, as well as provide ongoing support. This College for blind and vision-impaired young people and Cutter has extensive experience of working in the education sector and 60% of its current support clients are schools or colleges.
COVID: Developing digital hydro alcoholic gel dispensers with Napakeo
They worked with Fujitsu to create a new product: The Digital Pure Box - a digital signage and dispenser system for Hydroalcoholic Gel. This has initiated a “movement” toward digitization of Information Services since the eco-system has enabled Client employees to transform into Add-On Services developers.
Using wind turbines as data centers with Green IT
Green IT truly believe in sustainable and clean energy. Their vision is to provide better IT solutions with a smaller ecological footprint. They do this by providing eco-friendly server housing and zero emission cloud services. For example, they are working with WestfalenWIND IT to make use of the empty spaces in wind turbines by putting server racks in them. Thus the wind turbine becomes a datacentre. That means that for 92% of the year, Green IT’s server infrastructure is powered from the wind turbine itself, without pulling any electricity from the grid.

Self service kiosks not only make it easier for people, they also encourage dwell time. This service is underpinned by Fujitsu technology. Hapbit use the Integrated System PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI to deploy a Hyper-Converged infrastructure based on Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2540 rack servers.
