CardioID

CardioID

CardioID Technologies (www.cardio-id.com) is a spin-off of Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon), born out of research on pattern recognition and machine learning methods applied to the study of bio-signals, especially the electrocardiogram (ECG). CardioID has created a technology that allows the ECG to be continuously acquired at the subject’s hands using dry electrodes, conductive textiles or other materials, enabling the development of innovative products, with focus on ECG-based biometrics.

CardioID has extensive experience (including a patent), for the purpose of biometric recognition and drowsiness behind the wheel based on steering wheel sensors. This requires the development of custom hardware and electronics that enhances the signal quality, under the constraints of a tight budget, but also robust signal processing algorithms.

CardioWheel, a system based on sensors integrated in a steering wheel cover for measuring driver physiological related activity based on electrocardiogram (ECG), including hands on wheel detection, driver biometric recognition, fatigue detection and driver well-being. CardioWheel is connected to the Mobileye equipment through the CAN bus of the vehicle and can transfer data through different communication technologies (BLE, CAN, I2C, SPI, WiFi).

Chalmers Uni – Smart Traffic

SmartX

SmartX is the product of 4 student´s different backgrounds and experiences coupled with a mutual drive for innovation. While cars and other types of transport have developed over the years, the structure controlling these have not.

In a world with growing population and urbanization, todays intersections are a big cause of disruption in people's lives. They cause disruption in the transport network, unnecessary pollution and accidents that could be avoided. Today’s intersections need to be reinvented to facilitate the development of smart and connected cities with our innovative solution, todays intersections will be a thing of the past. By controlling the flow of traffic through the smart intersection we can decrease congestion, accidents and unnecessary environmental effects.

We want you to help us develop safer and smother intersections that can adapt to today's traffic as well as the traffic tomorrow.

Storro

Storro

The cloud is ideal for storing large amounts of data. But what if it concerns confidential business information? Do you feel comfortable handing over details on your employees, strategy and IP to some third party – where you have no real control over what happens with it?

Storro is a private blockchain application to store data with unprecedented security and privacy. All your information is automatically encrypted and cut into small pieces, which are then stored spread out over multiple cloud providers. And as the decryption keys are only in possession of you and the people you authorize, no one else gets either complete or readable data. Not even in case of yet another cloud data breach…

This way you have the flexibility and affordability of the public cloud but with the protection and confidentiality exceeding even high grade on-premise solutions.
We are a young team of security specialists with a passion for innovative technology. With it we aim to increase trust, freedom and productivity by developing secure-by-design software which is easy to use.

This innovation has received awards internationally from parties such as the Dutch Government, European Commission, SXSW and Equinix.
