Fujitsu Environmental Management Dashboard helps Stanley Electric to monitor and reduce power consumption

""Fujitsu’s solution provided the features we needed and more, with a system to seamlessly convert different forms of data and assemble them onto one platform.""

Stanley Electric, Environmental Conservation Division

The customer

"It was 1920 when Stanley Electric was born from the Kitano Foundation. This was an age when automobiles were still rare in Japan, yet despite this, Stanley Electric began manufacturing automotive bulbs. By continuing to expand its business to produce LED, optoelectronics and automobile equipment, Stanley Electric has been pursuing new heights to enable its lighting to make a valuable contribution to society. "

The challenge

"Stanley Electric was looking to build a system that consolidated and visually represented the masses of power consumption data collected from its plants in Japan and the rest of the world. With this data proving difficult to integrate and analyze – it was preventing the company from moving forward with its environmental program. "

The solution

"To overcome this, Fujitsu added The Environmental Management Dashboard to Stanley Electric’s integrated power monitoring systems. The system shares information within the organization – allowing employees to follow the progress of their own factory and others. This has helped boost motivation among employees to reduce CO2 emissions."

The benefit

  • Intuitive visual system that collects and assembles factory-specific data
  • Reduction in factory electrical costs
  • Increased motivation among employees to achieve energy-saving targets
  • Increased profitability and enterprise value
