Fujitsu Receives Honors in HPCwire Readers' and Editors' Choice Awards

Tofaş, Turkey's largest automotive manufacturer, and Fujitsu won the 2014 HPCwire Award – Editors' Choice for "Best use of HPC in Automotive". The prize was awarded to Tofaş and Fujitsu in the course of the International Supercomputing event on November 18th 2014 in New Orleans, USA.

Tofaş manufactures both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, producing 400,000 units per year for brands including Fiat, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall. With Fujitsu's PRIMERGY and ETERNUS systems, Tofaş' R&D team can make increasingly complex analyses of different kinds of vehicle models to stay ahead in a competitive market.

Following a comprehensive benchmarking process, Tofaş selected a Fujitsu HPC cluster solution plus consultancy and services. Working hand-in-hand with Tofaş optimized design, tooling and engineering in R&D the solution improves operating efficiency and provides Tofaş with a competitive edge in a demanding marketplace.
