  • Solutions/Services

Since Fujitsu possessed technology related to data communications and had worked on the independent development of computers, it was able to begin its development of data communications systems ahead of its competitors. After joint research with Nikko Securities, in 1964 it developed the FACOM323, Japan's first fully-electronic telegraphic switching system, and delivered it to Nikko Securities. This system was the largest of its type in the world at the time, equipped with superior functions which included high-speed channels to receive data from and transmit data to computers in addition to 300 teletype lines.
