Fujitsu Finland Oy and Pirkanmaa Hospital District (PSHP) have entered into an IT infrastructure and telecoms service agreement. Among other things, the agreement covers remote user and onsite support as well as workstation development and maintenance services. The newly signed contract also allows the expansion of the current collaboration to cover telecoms related LAN and firewall services as well as inter-site connections.
The agreement is a result of a competitive bidding process. In comparing the bids, PSHP focused particularly on quality related criteria.
”What we required from our service provider were references from the healthcare sector, an extensive service network in Finland, local decision-making ability and a productized service concept. Moreover, we demand extremely fast reaction to service requests that concern an entire hospital or that seriously compromise patient care,” says CIO Antti Jokela of PSHP.
”This decision further strengthens our partnership with PSHP. In addition to Patja services we already provide PSHP with a comprehensive set of Sohva services for the management and use of applications. We continue our service provision in an excellent situation. Customer satisfaction is top-notch – last year, users graded our support services at an average of 9,35, says director Antero Vuorio of Fujitsu.
PSHP and Fujitsu collaborate in developing IT towards open interfaces and vendor independence. The first step in this direction is the new archive solution for PSHP’s imaging centre. The goal is to consistently develop IT solutions so that the healthcare personnel will be able to access the data saved in different patient record systems on their own user interfaces.
