HIPLEX MSCF provides the infrastructure required for a functional network of several BS2000 systems as well as basic functions for distributed applications. In the MSCF network, communication between the participating systems is based on the openNet server.
The most important type of network in the MSCF network is the Shared Pubset system. In addition to the communication connection, all computers in the group have access to shared disks, the Shared Pubset.
The Cross Coupled System (XCS) is an extension of the Shared Pubset. Cross-computer synchronization mechanisms allow the management of globally available resources and enable the operation of distributed applications with data access to shared data.
