71Column 7Contributing to the Local Community through SportsFujitsu currently supports Kawasaki Frontale which is a professional football club in J. League Division 1, and has participated in the AFC Champions League （ACL）3 times.Kawasaki Frontale originated in 1955 as a Fujitsu amateur team formed by our employees. The club stands by a philosophy of "contributing to the local community by promoting football and sports activities." They also cooperate with the Kawasaki City Board of Education in organizing civic activities such as coaching sessions and seminars on the importance of daily exercise and health.Fujitsu is also involved in a wide spectrum of sports other than football including track and field, American football and women's basketball. Often the top national athletes dedicate their time to support local communities all over Japan through various coaching activities. The Fujitsu Group continues to put forth its enterprising spirit in sports, contributing to social activities through sponsoring various competitions.
