Notes Regarding USB and Your Computer --------------------------------------------------------------------- - Be sure to use the USB cable bundled with ScanSnap for connecting it to your computer. The system requirements for this product are as follows: - Operating System    Mac OS X v10.2.8    Mac OS X v10.3    Mac OS X v10.4    Mac OS X v10.5 - CPU (Processor) PowerPC(R) G4 Processor 800MHz or higher Intel(R) Core(TM) Solo or Duo Processor (Recommended: Intel Core Duo Processor 1.83GHz or higher)    USB port (USB 2.0/1.1) - Memory    128MB or more    (Recommended: 512MB or more, or 1GB or more for Mac OS X v10.5) --------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Notes during Installation --------------------------------------------------------------------- - Log on as a user with Administrator rights (computer administrator rights) and then install. - Profiles other than [Standard] will NOT be added to [Select a Profile] if ScanSnap Manager has already been installed. If you need custom settings, add them by referring to the description on "Default Settings for Scan Setting" in Help. --------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Notes during Uninstallation --------------------------------------------------------------------- - Quit the ScanSnap Manager application before uninstalling. - When you want to delete ScanSnap Manager’s log in, do the following: (1) For Mac OS X v10.2: Delete the [ScanSnap Manager] item from [Login Items] of [System Preferences]. (2) For Mac OS X v10.3/v10.4/v10.5: Delete the [ScanSnap Manager] item from [System Preferences] ? [Accounts] ? [My Account] ? [Login Items (Mac OS X v10.4/v10.5) /Startup Items (Mac OS X v10.3)]. --------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Other Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------- - Multiple ScanSnap scanners cannot be connected at the same time. - Avoid the following during scanning or while waiting for the scanner to initialize (the scan lamp is calibrating). The system may become unstable. - Inserting or disconnecting the USB cable connected to ScanSnap - Turning ScanSnap on or off - Uninstalling ScanSnap Manager - Scanning may not perform properly if the system is started after your computer enters the power save mode or suspend mode during scanning or while the lamp is calibrating. In that case, turn your scanner off and on, and then try scanning again. - Documents longer than the Paper size setting cannot be scanned. You will be notified of an incorrect paper size in this case.
