Brief

Fujitsu Display Manager (hereinafter referred to as "this Software") is a utility that allows you to easily switch screen display settings for your computer.

Using this Software, you can save certain combinations of screen-displays as preset settings and restore your saved setting as needed. Fujitsu Display Manager is very helpful in the following types of situations:

Starting up Fujitsu Display Manager

There are three different ways to start Fujitsu Display Manager:

Use the following procedure to place the Fujitsu Display Manager icon Fujitsu Display Manageron the task bar.

  1. Start up Fujitsu Display Manager :
    • Click [Start] -> [All Programs] -> [Fujitsu Display Manager] to open [Fujitsu Display Manager].
  2. Select [Setup] in the displayed [Main Window] to open the [Setup dialog box].
  3. Check the [Show icon on the taskbar] check box.

Using the icon on the taskbar

By double-clicking the Fujitsu Display Manager icon Fujitsu Display Manageron the taskbar, or right-clicking the icon and selecting [Switching display], you can view the main window for this Software.

How to use Fujitsu Display Manager

When the Fujitsu Display Manager starts, a main window appears. Using the arrow keys, select a preset setting or the function you would like to use, then press [Enter].

View your preset setting list and select a setting.

[Setup]

View the [Setup Dialog Box] and make desired setups.

[Add the current screen-display setting to preset setting]

Add the current screen-display setting to your [Preset Settings] list.

If selected, a dialog box appears in which to enter the title of the new preset setting. Click  Registration, enter the title of the preset setting, and click [OK].

Note: The maximum number of Preset Settings is 16.

Select [Close].

Close the main window.

Preset List

Select [Preset List] to view a list of all settings currently registered as Preset Settings. The main window displays the registered items in the same order as the Preset list.

New

Select [New] to create a new setting to add to Presets.

To make a new setting, you must first have the display device you wish to use connected to the computer, then click [New].

Notes:

  • The maximum number of settings you can register in Presets is 16.

·        This Software does not support simultaneous connection of three or more displays. If three or more displays are connected to your computer, disconnect the displays that you do not want to use.

Edit

Select [Edit] to open the dialog box for editing existing Presets.

View

Select [View] to display the contents of the selected setting on the Presets list.

Delete

Select [Delete] to remove the selected setting from the Presets list.

Up/Down

Use the Up/Down buttons to move a selected setting on Presets list upward or downward re-position items in your Preset list.

Show icon on the task tray

If checked, the Fujitsu Display Manager icon will appear on the taskbar.

If unchecked, the icon will not appear on the taskbar.

Save/restore the positions of desktop icons in compliance with screen resolutions

If checked, the positions of icons are saved and restored in compliance with the resolutions changed by switching displays when preset settings are applied.

Saving and restoration of desktop icons prevents their positions from shifting, based on display resolutions of each preset setting whenever displays are switched.

In multi-display mode, the icons are saved in compliance with the resolution for one combined desktop of primary and secondary displays.

Title of preset setting

Used for editing the title of the setting.

Note: If [View] is selected on the [Main window], you cannot edit this field.

Display mode

Use this field to select display mode from the drop-down list. Selections include the following:

·        Single display mode: Select to display on a single display connected to the computer.

·        Clone display mode: Select to display the same image on two individual displays connected to the computer.

·        Multi-display mode: Select to display one desktop on two combined displays. The display which shows the start menu is called the [Primary display]; the other is called the [Secondary display].

Notes:

·        When [Edit] or [View] is selected on the [Main window], you cannot make changes to this field.

·        You can select [Clone display] or [Multi-display] only when two displays are connected to the computer.

·        When a TV is connected to the computer, you cannot select [Multi-display mode].

Primary display/Secondary display

The Primary and Secondary display fields allow you to select displays from the drop-down lists.

Notes:

·        When [Edit] or [View] is selected on the [Main window], you cannot make changes to this field.

·        You can select Secondary display only when [Multi-display mode] is selected,

·        When you select [Clone mode], two displays connected to the computer are automatically selected, and you cannot make changes.

Location of secondary display/Alignment of secondary display

When [Multi-display mode] is selected, you can specify the position of the secondary display.

Note:  When [View] is selected on the [Main window], you cannot make changes to this field.

Settings

You can view selectable combinations of resolutions and refresh rates so as to select the combination you wish to apply.

Notes:

·        The combination of selectable resolutions and refresh rates depends on the capabilities of your graphic accelerator and the computer display.

·        When [View] is selected on the [Main window], you cannot make changes to this field.

·        When TV is selected as a primary display/secondary display, standard settings are applied to TV resolution and standard video settings (e.g., S-out, D1-D4 settings). TV settings cannot be changed by this Software. You can confirm or change the standard video settings by accessing the properties of each graphic accelerator through [Display Properties] -> [Settings] -> [Advanced].
