Since it was launched for the first time in 2006, Fujitsu Microelectronics Cup MCU Competition has been successfully held three times. This competition officially kicked off in April 2009 and has attracted the most competitors in Main Land, and over 200 colleges and universities participated in this competition. Furthermore, the works were richer and more creative in content and have been significantly improved in terms of technology maturity and creativity.

The "creativity changes out lives" was the tenet of this competition, so the "innovation" was one of important standards and the competitors were guided to use unique creativity to change our life styles, increase the quality of life and drive the innovation and development of MCU in the field of technology and application. Centered around the tenet of "creativity changes our lives", the competitors combined their real life and work, made full use of MB95200 series platforms provided by Fujitsu Microelectronics, and designed practical works closely related to our lives and full of creativities. These works include intelligent home, consumer electronics, environmental protection, automotive electronics and more, and fully materialized the flexibility and universality of MB95200 series MCU applications.

Edwin Kwong, senior vice president of Asia Pacific area of Fujitsu Microelectronics, said: "Fujitsu Microelectronics always pays attention to higher education and talent training and views the innovation as driving force of enterprise's sustainable development. We're happy that this competition exceeds previous competition in terms of scale, creativity and quality of works. We'll continue to hold this kind of events and contribute to electronic talent training in China."

On behalf of all the competitors, Ye Yingcong, who is a student from Integrated Circuit Engineering Department of Electronic and Information Engineering School of Tianjin University and was the winner of the "award for the most environment-aware design", said: "I'm glad that I can win the ‘award for the most environment-aware design' of Fujitsu Microelectronics Cup MCU Design Competition with ‘intelligent power-saving plug board' and thank Fujitsu Microelectronics for giving us this platform to show ourselves. This competition not only makes us completely understand Fujitsu Microelectronics' MB95200 series MCUs, but also has us adapt to the society and electronic semiconductor industry and improve our innovation and practice ability. In particular, we benefit a lot from the instruction of Fujitsu Microelectronics' engineers. From now on, we'll carry forward the spirit of "innovation' proposed by this competition, enhance professional skills, actively practice it and lay solid foundation for future social life."

After the Award Ceremony, the attendants reviewed these award-winning works on intelligent home, digital consumer electronics, automotive electronics and environmental protection in a lighter vein. These works involve all aspects of our lives, such as pet pals with remote control function and 1-key mode switching, intelligent power-saving plug board, full automatic RF remote air humidity controller, GSM intelligent joint defense system, mobile cash register system for supermarket and more. Their creativity and practicability display the tenet of this competition again.
