Fujitsu Semiconductor Releases “Approaching Object Detection Library” to Support Driver Safety Singapore, CN-EN,Global, May 21, 2014 - Fujitsu Semiconductor Pacific Asia Ltd. (FSP) announced that it has released the Approaching Object Detection Library software for use with the company’s graphics SoCs to visualize information from vehicle-mounted cameras to detect people, vehicles, and other nearby objects. This uses proprietary technology from the company to dramatically reduce detection errors, and because it has been optimized to run as software, it can be implemented without dedicated hardware that is typically necessary. An evaluation version of the Approaching Object Detection Library will be available in the beginning of May, with a commercial version due in September.

Fujitsu Semiconductor introduces innovative methodology for Leading-Edge "Customized SoC" Design Shanghai, CN-EN,Global, January 15, 2014 - Fujitsu Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. today announced that it has developed a new design methodology that enables both the higher circuit density and the shorter development time, for advanced 28nm SoC (System on a Chip) devices. Incorporating the new methods can improve the circuit density by 33%(*1), and reduce the time for final layout process to as short as one month. It will be integrated into the company's new Customized SoC Solutions, and will be available for the development of RTL-handoff SoCs for customers. Fujitsu will start accepting orders to develop SoCs using the new methodology in February 2014.
