  • Fujitsu Achieves 96.7% Recognition Rate for Handwritten Chinese Characters Using AI That Mimics the Human Brain Beijing, China and Kawasaki, Japan, CN-EN, September 17, 2015 - Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. (collectively Fujitsu) today announced the development of the world's first handwriting recognition technology by utilizing AI technology modeled on human brain processes to surpass a human equivalent recognition rate of 96.7%, that was established at a conference.

  • Voiceprint Recognition Technology for Fraud Prevention Bei Jing, CN-EN, September 15, 2015 - Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. developed the voiceprint recognition technology. This technology can recognize the identity of a speaker by analyzing his/her voice, to determine whether the speaker is really a certain individual. More importantly, this technology can be used remotely through telephone voice to easily achieve call safety management.

  • Fujitsu Doubles Same-Cell Wireless Communication Capacity for 5G Beijing, China and Kawasaki, Japan, CN-EN, September 04, 2015 - Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the development of a new wireless technology that doubles the capacity of a single cell, using the same wireless frequency simultaneously, as a step toward 5G.

(Note 1) has developed a vision-based parking lots management technology for smart parking. Proposed technology relies on surveillance videos to analyze status of each parking lot and provides detailed occupancy maps to improve convenience for both administrator and drivers.

  • Detecting Concept-level Emotion Cause in Microblogging Beijing, CN-EN, May 20, 2015 - Fujitsu Research and Development Center today announced a concept-level emotion cause detection technology. First, a topic-supervised biterm topic model is designed to detect users’ multiple ‘emotion topics’ in event-related tweets. Then, context-sensitive topical PageRank is utilized to detect meaningful multiword expressions from each emotion topic as its causes. Finally, relationships between microblogging emoticons and people’s real emotions can also be detected with the emotion topic detection step.

  • Chinese Enterprise Knowledge Graph Construction based on Linked Data CN-EN, February 09, 2015 - Fujitsu Research and Development Center today announced a Chinese enterprise knowledge graph construction based on Linked Data technologies. First, cross-lingual schema matching is used to map enterprise data schema and standard metadata schema. Then, knowledge validation technologies are adopted to data conflict resolution and data fusion. Finally, enterprise knowledge and web knowledge are linked by entity linking technologies.
