Fujitsu (Caribbean) Introduces iSense Service

New Collaborative Service Combines Strengths of Fujitsu and Cisco

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc.

Port-of-Spain, August 28, 2008

Fujitsu (Caribbean) today unveiled iSense, a new Service designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) simplify network maintenance through regular, proactive network assessments, remote software repairs and technical support. Based upon a collaborative approach to delivering services, Fujitsu iSense combines the complementary strengths of Cisco and Fujitsu Services to proactively verify that a customer's network is secure, reliable and functioning optimally at all times. This collaborative service was introduced to Trinidad business and IT executives at an exclusive Breakfast launch held at the Mariott Hotel.

The Fujitsu iSense Service is a comprehensive network wide service that offers proactive network monitoring, health checkups, diagnostics and software repairs in addition to technical support for a customer’s entire Cisco network under a single contract. The Service is designed for the SMB and commercial operations which do not employ enterprise class Cisco devices.

iSense will be delivered through Fujitsu’s shared services Network Operations Centre (NOC) which will receive alerts from the customer’s network. The service includes:

  • Remote monitoring and repair of Cisco devices and software applications
  • Proactive health checks and periodic assessments of Cisco network foundation, voice and security technologies to identify potential issues
  • Technical support for all supported Cisco hardware and software in the network under a single maintenance contract
  • Software updates and maintenance releases
  • Advance replacement of Cisco devices
  • Proactive notifications to simplify the addition of new technologies and applications over time

"iSense enables Fujitsu to utilize Cisco networking expertise, methodologies, technical tools and service infrastructure to create our own unique set of personalized services specific to a customer's growing needs. We expect Fujitsu iSense to differentiate our business by giving us the tools to complement traditional network support with proactive maintenance and technology planning services," said Frances Correia, EVP, Services, Fujitsu (Caribbean)

The Fujitsu iSense Service is the first new IT Support Service to be launched in this fiscal year, as part of our planned Managed/Support Services roadmap. Based on our Sense and Respond approach, we will be rolling out our new Managed/Support Services roadmap in a structured and prioritized evolutionary path that combines proven technology solutions and world-class service, to help our customers keep pace with change while simplifying their Information Technology decisions and operations.

Availability and Pricing

The Fujitsu iSense Service is available effective immediately. Pricing is determined by two factors: the number of devices on the customer network and the types of applications and devices that reside on the network.
