Oceania Procurement Policy
We procure goods, software, contract resources and services that are needed for conducting business activities (“Procurement Items”) from various suppliers, for internal or to add value to them, and supply them to our customers as Fujitsu products or services. We do so after ensuring that Fujitsu cannot source these goods or services internally including through our sister companies globally.
We procure these items in a manner that adheres to ethical, economic, and environmental principles and we aim to realise the potential of our supply chain in driving positive social outcomes.
We work with suppliers to identify, mitigate, and manage risks. We are committed to ensuring there are adequate controls in place to eliminate or mitigate risks associated with purchasing or supplying goods and to reduce the likelihood of introducing new or additional hazards into the workplace associated with purchasing or hiring goods. We also encourage existing and potential suppliers to collaborate with us to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
Promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility in Procurement

We respect individuals' human rights, does not unfairly discriminate, provide a secure and healthy work environment, do not use child or forced labour, and respect the rights to freedom of association.

We promote the establishment and implementation of environmental management systems.

We promote fair and free competition, proper handling of confidential information, respect intellectual property, prohibit corruption, including bribery and extortion, and avoid conflict minerals.

We comply with applicable laws, regulations and accepted social practices governing our local and global businesses and require the same of our suppliers.
6. Assurance of Safety and Quality of Products and Services
We maintain high standards of safety and quality in our products and services.
7. Information Security
We maintain and promote information security in order to properly protect our own information and information systems and those of third parties.
Coexistence with and Selection of Suppliers
We strive to establish a relationship of coexistence in which Fujitsu and our suppliers, as good business partners, build a long-term trustful relationship based on continuous effort and improvements on both sides and, thereby, prosper together.
We evaluate and select suppliers comprehensively based on such criteria as:
- Credibility as an enterprise
- Technology
- Quality, Price and Delivery of procurement items and
- The level of engagement with Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) activities
In evaluating and selecting suppliers, we make no distinctions among candidate suppliers based on their nationalities, and we treat any candidate supplier sincerely, always offering them fair and reasonable entry opportunities.
Fujitsu requests cooperation from our suppliers to act in accordance with our social responsibilities in the supply chain. To support CSR promotion and to manage and mitigate risks we require suppliers to abide by the Fujitsu Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR and participate in risk questionnaires from time-to-time.
Fujitsu’s commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses
Fujitsu proactively seeks to procure products and services from suppliers that are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned, managed and controlled. With this we aim to generate value within our supply chain, increase opportunities for suppliers who have traditionally been under-represented in our community and meet Australia Government requirements. As such we have targets in place for Indigenous enterprise representation in our supply chain.
Fujitsu is a member of Supply Nation, giving us access to Indigenous businesses that are currently part of the Supply Nation network and utilise this service for sourcing Indigenous suppliers.
